DRAGONS (a believer's guide to)

1/5
Hachette, August 2026
Written and illustrated by Jenni Desmond
A sequel to A Believer's Guide to Unicorns
(Jenni's illustrations in Dragons are created primarily by hand using watercolour, acrylic, drypoint printmaking, soil, pencil crayon, pen and pencil. They are sometimes lightly finished digitally. When using soil, she used some earth from her garden, mixed it with water, and painted it onto the watercolour 'soil' in her artwork to create unusual textures and show real bits of the earth)
Dragons live deep underground, where the soil is scorching hot and rich with sparkling treasures. And though some readers may have never spotted one, look around – there are plenty of clues to be found . . . for true believers know that dragons really do exist.
From digging dens to sliding down volcanoes, or soaring past the moon and sifting through rivers for precious gold, there are signs of dragons everywhere. Which ones will you see?
Find out everything there is to know about dragons in this magical guide by the award-winning Jenni Desmond.
